DOP tailgate event Friday, July 25, 2025

We are proud to announce the 2025 class of the Madison Scouts Hall of Fame, a group of extraordinary individuals whose dedication, leadership, and service have left a lasting legacy on our organization. This year’s inductees include longtime volunteers Ollie Mae Banks, Barb Loeffelholz, Pat Omilianowski, and Henry Barney; member and instructor Chris Forbes; member, instructor, and board member Doug Tholo; and founding member and one of our original drum majors, Edward “EB” Matthews. Each has played a unique and vital role in shaping the spirit and success of the Madison Scouts.

We Need Your Help to Help Bring MSAA Chapters to Life!

One of the most exciting projects we're working on at MSAA is building local Chapters—and we need your help to make it happen!

There’s a good chance you’ve got a handful of Madison Scouts alumni living just down the road—and you might not even know it. Chapters are a way for alumni to find each other, reconnect, and share the camaraderie that made our time in the Scouts so special.

How your donations are making a difference!

Below are a few marching members who benefitted from our alumni association program. Your contributions are making a direct impact on our future alumni membership. Read some of the testimonials below to learn how much impact, and please consider helping us continue to make a difference in the corps that we all adore. Learn more about the CH Beebe Scholarship program.

We’ve all seen the powerful, lasting impact that being part of the Madison Scouts can have on a person’s life. The Madison Scouts Alumni Association is committed to raising scholarship funds to make this transformative experience accessible to every aspiring member. Through the C.H. Beebe Scholarship Fund, you can help ensure that financial barriers never stand in the way of someone’s dream to march with the Madison Scouts.

The C.H. Beebe Scholarship Fund is available to members of the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps through a needs-based application process. With your generous donation, you can empower passionate young performers to pursue their calling and step onto the field without the burden of financial constraints.

In the spirit of C.H. Beebe's legacy, we invite you to consider a one-time or monthly donation to the scholarship fund. By contributing, you help keep the Madison Scouts experience within reach for all who wish to participate.

[DCI.org] INDIANAPOLIS — Throughout the summer, the annual chase for a spot in the DCI World Championship Finals has been closely-contested.

DM Paige ShumneyAll along the way, though, the pack has largely been led by one name — Madison Scouts.

After positioning itself in 12th place midway through the season, the Wisconsin corps never relented, and rode the momentum of an energetic production to the corps’ first Finals appearance since 2017.

“This is my home,” Madison Scouts Paige Shumney said, after Madison Scouts’ Friday night performance at the DCI World Championship Semifinals. “The thought of making Finals is beautiful.”

The 2024 Class of the Madison Scouts Hall of Fame will be recognized and toasted during ceremonies at the 2024 Madison Scouts Hall of Fame Drums on Parade Tailgate hosted by MSAA. Kent Eversmeyer, MSAA& Hall of Fame Committee Chairman says, "It is fitting to honor our inductees and their servant leadership to the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps by having 100% of the proceeds from the MSAA-hosted Tailgate go to the C.H. Beebe Scholarship fund that directly supports life changing opportunities and experiences to the current members of our beloved drum corps".

Brass KnucklesThis year, we have some very cool performance opportunities and chances to see other alumni continue to do what they love to do. Here are a few of those events:

The Brass Knuckles will be performing at the tailgate once again this year. Three members are alumni of the Scouts (www.brassknucklesquintet.com)

Alumni from the Scouts, Capitolaires, and Capitol Sound will join together to perform the Star Spangled Banner before Drums On Parade (tickets) and the Whitewater Classic (tickets) shows. We hope to see you there before 6:45 PM.

Dear fellow alumnus,
We hope this message finds you well. We are reaching out to you with a shared vision of making a positive impact on the Madison Scouts in 2024 and beyond, and we believe your financial support for the C.H. Beebe Scholarship Fund can help turn this vision into reality.

The Madison Scouts Alumni Association (MSAA) is on a mission to raise scholarship funds and establish a new level of tuition support for members of the Madison Scouts. With your generous contribution, we can empower young musicians pursuing their passion to participate in a transformative experience with the Madison Scouts. Every dollar you donate will help fund prospective members and eliminate, or substantially reduce, the financial barrier for some to become a marching member of the Madison Scouts this year.

Here are a few ways you can financially support the C.H. Beebe Scholarship Fund:

The response to our initial survey has been encouraging enough for us to move forward with a second survey. More than 400 alumni sent us their survey expressing a 'yes' or 'maybe' response. Anyone can fill out this second survey, even if you did not fill out the initial survey. The results of this second survey will determine if we, in fact, participate in the Rose Parade in 2026. Regarding everyone’s big question about the cost for each participant, the more participants there are, the lower the price per person will be. That also means that the fewer participants, the more cost per person will be.
